I am graduating in December with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communication from the University of Central Florida. I have experience in journalism beginning with a news internship with the North Port Sun from 2010 to 2012. During that time I accumulated interview and writing skills necessary to create outstanding articles. Some of my articles also ran in other local newspapers such as the Charlotte Sun, Venice Gondolier and Englewood Sun.
My works included feature articles, previews for community events, grand openings of businesses and much more.
From 2013 to 2014 I was a staff writer at the Valencia Voice, a student newspaper organization affiliated with Valencia College. I started off previewing and covering events that took place at Valencia College campuses in Kissimmee and Orlando. Later, I attended concerts for major performers at venues including the Amway Center, House of Blues and Hard Rock Live writing review articles for attended events. I watched newly released movies in theaters and wrote review articles summarizing and critiquing the films.
In the summer of 2015, I interned with Dress for Success Greater Orlando as their staff writing intern. I also started contributing to UCF's Central Florida Future newspaper during the summer.

These opportunities have prepared me for a career in a field that I love.
